    We have been hearing a lot about learning and development functions being critical to achieving business outcomes. To my surprise, we often mistakenly project positive feedback to be business outcomes. In many cases, internal learning and development teams too regard positive feedback as learning success.

    Positive feedback does not equal business impact.

    Managing customer experiences- a digital enterprise solution

    Last month a friend of mine, a yoga freak, ordered a yoga mattress from an online store. Her excitement shot up just a week before the stipulated delivery date. As excited she was, about her new mattress, ebay took the liberty of delaying the delivery by 2 weeks. Two days after the delivery date, her excitement had turned into a depression. She would feel emotionally hurt when asked about the mattress. I suggested she called the customer care and inquire the delivery status.

    Content Layers in Curriculum Designing

    Most standards of learning typically contain three content layers:

    • Explicit content
    • Implied content
    • Conditional content

    If content is regarded as the subject matter to be delivered to the learners, the subject matter referred to is called the explicit content.  Explicit content however, cannot exist in isolation.
